News Letters/October & November 2009

Discover Scuba- The fall discover scuba was held on November 4^th. There were 8 individuals that participated in the class. They enjoyed the diving and plan to sign up for classes. Thanks go out to all that help out with the class.

North Shore Dive- The club made its way to Duluth to take the buoy of the hesper on October 10^th and 11^th. Saturday morning started out with an inch of snow. The wind stayed to the west long enough to remove the buoy. Then a couple of new members decided to dive the ely on Saturday also. Everyone had a good time. Thanks go to Brent Youngberg and family for letting us stay in the back yard.

Local Dive - On Sunday (November 15) Adam, Jon (Woody), and I dove a couple points on West Lake Jefferson. While we found underwater signs of human activity, we only came up with 3 golf balls and a broken tool handle obviously made by old black smith methods. Water was 40^o on the surface; visibility was 2-4 feet.

Open Water Training- Anyone interested in helping with class or discover scuba, please stop down to club on Thursday night (pump night) or 2nd Tuesday of month (meeting Night) or contact Jim Zabel at 507-271-4205. We will have a signup sheet at club.

Upcoming Local Dive- Jim Zabel is going to be down at Big Blue in Mason City, IA Sunday November 22^nd at 11:00 am. If you would like to go and dive please contact Jim at 507-271-4205.

Newsletter- Due to time with work, I have made some changes on the newsletter at the last meeting. If you want to post an article in the newsletter, please write the way you want it to show in the newsletter and email it to me. This will save me time putting the newsletter together and getting it out quicker. Thanks
