Web Site Update

The Owatonna Diving Club web site (http://kierski.net/owatonnadivers) is new and improved. The web site is using MediaWiki -- the same software as Wikipedia. Club members can add content (web pages, pictures, etc) and update existing content. You can subscribe to receive notification when pages change -- like the local dives or current events pages.

To sign up for an account, clink the "Log in" link in the top right corner, then click the "request one" link in the Log in box. Please use your real name or provide enough information that your membership can be verified.

New Years day 2010

New years day ice dive is set for Lake Kohlmier at 1 o`clock. As it looks right now, we`ll be setting up and cutting ice at about 11 AM, and diving at 1 PM. The supper will be at East Winds, south of Lowe`s, at 5 PM. When you come in, say you're with the dive club; they have part reserved for us.

Isle Royal 2009-2010

We had a real good trip to Isle Royal again in July, even though we had a half day of fog and one day of wind. We had fourteen divers and five boats. This brings up another point for 2010. This has got to be our limit. The fourteen that went in 2009 will have first chance to go again. If they aren`t going, then we can take off of a standby list. I will put a signup sheet at the building, or give Don Matejcek a call at 507-451-8888, or E-mail at scubagramps1961@yahoo.com. Isle Royal tripe will be July 6th to July 10th or 11th. Also, one of the boats had four people in it. We will be trying for two to a boat, or maybe three in some of the bigger boats.

Bayfield 2010
